The Great Hunt is the second book of The Wheel of Time fantasy series written by Robert Jordan. It was published by Tor Books and released on November 15, 1990. In 2004 The Great Hunt was re-released as two separate books, The Hunt Begins and New Threads in the Pattern.
The lost Horn of Valere, able to raise the dead heroes of the past, has been discovered, only to be stolen. Rand al'Thor, struggling against the destiny which conspires to name him the Dragon Reborn.There is a world of light and shadow, where good and evil wage eternal war. It is the world of the wheel of time, the greatest fantasy epic ever written.
